The Telegram Chat Statistics section provides two different tabs: one showing the top most active chats for the day, and another showing a search and filterable table that enables the user to look through and filter any of the projects they might be interested in from our entire indexed chat.
The "Most Active" tab contains the most active daily chats in relation to the previous day, highlighting those with the highest growth. This growth can happen for multiple reasons, such as:
A new upcoming catalyst in the project
A new marketing campaign
A hack or a potential problem
An influx of new users and additional interest in the project
A sudden price surge
There are numerous reasons why there might be increased attention around a particular project. Instead of individually opening the project’s socials and searching on Telegram, Twitter, Discord, or YouTube, which can be challenging due to the scattered nature of information—especially for smaller projects—the best source of information is often the community chatter itself. The Telegram Chat Statistics tool breaks down several social metrics for these channels, helping users understand why there is a sudden spike in interest around a project.
For example, if there is a significant increase in members in a group but almost no one is talking, it could indicate fake activity versus organic growth. Similarly, conversation distribution metrics can help determine whether the discussions are driven by the same few users or whether many members are actively engaging.
Number of Messages: Represents the absolute number of messages that occurred in a group for that day.
Total Members: The total number of members in the Telegram group.
Number of Participants: Reflects the number of people actively exchanging messages and engaging in conversations.
Daily Growth of Messages and Participants: Represents the percentage change in activity (messages and participants) from the previous day to the current day.
Weekly Growth of Messages and Participants: Represents the percentage change in activity (messages and participants) from the previous week to the current week.
Average Online Members: The daily average number of members that are online in a group.
Conversation Well Distributed: A proprietary metric that measures the distribution of conversation among participants using a Gini coefficient. It indicates whether conversations are dominated by a few users or whether many members are contributing, helping detect non-organic social growth.
Bot Count: Represents the number of bots in each group. It is important to note that legitimate groups tend to have a small number of bots for purposes such as spam removal, announcements, and Q&A. A high number of bots, however, can indicate suspicious activity.
This tool helps users put upcoming projects on their radar, as large growth in a channel could signify something noteworthy. Tools like these enable users to distinguish between projects exhibiting true organic growth and those demonstrating fake growth.
